Communications Chair
Reports to: AHEPPP Board of Directors Communications Liaison Term: 1 year, renewable Time Commitment: 2–4 hours per week Applications Open: Monday, November 3, 2025 Applications Due: Friday, December 5, 2025
Role Summary
The Communications Chair provides strategic leadership for AHEPPP’s communications and branding efforts. This includes leading a team of volunteers, collaborating across committees, and maintaining brand standards to support the association's programs and initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead on the Branding & Communications Committee
- Actively support committee members to maximize engagement and participation
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board Liaison(s), and other committees to create communications plans and develop materials
- Maintain and manage the AHEPPP Brand Guide
- Provide training and guidance on consistent brand usage
- Prepare and submit a final report documenting initiatives, outcomes, and recommendations
Qualifications
- Current AHEPPP member with 3+ years of professional experience
- Strong communication and content strategy skills
- Experience leading teams or cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of digital platforms, branding, and audience engagement

Graphic Designer

Role Summary
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing AHEPPP’s brand to life through visual content. This position supports AHEPPP’s communications goals by producing high-quality graphics, templates, and marketing materials.
Role Responsibilities
- Design compelling graphics that align with the AHEPPP brand
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to support social media, email, web, and print content
- Ensure visual consistency across all platforms and campaigns
- Create templates and visual assets for committees and programs
- Manage multiple projects and meet established timelines
- Participate in monthly committee meetings to coordinate upcoming needs
Qualifications
- Strong graphic design skills and experience (2+ years)
- Familiarity with design tools and software
- Understanding of brand guidelines and marketing strategy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with a team

Social Media Editor

Role Summary
The Social Media Editor manages AHEPPP’s social presence across platforms, creating content that connects and informs our members. This creative strategist helps expand engagement and visibility through thoughtful, consistent storytelling.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AHEPPP’s social media content strategy
- Create and schedule content across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Monitor trends and adapt strategies for audience engagement
- Analyze and report on performance metrics quarterly
- Collaborate with the Communications Team and other committees to promote programs
- Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts
- Strong writing and content creation skills
- Familiarity with analytics and social scheduling tools
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of AHEPPP or experience in higher ed associations preferred
