Welcome
The Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals (AHEPPP), based in Boulder, Colorado, is intended to serve as a clearing house for professional development and as a resource center for new parent/family programs as well as for seasoned programs.
Founding members of the group laid a foundation for the organization a year ago by reviewing the history of parent services nationally, dating back to the 1920s; developing guidelines for best practices in the field; and identifying benchmarks for parent and family services.
Mission Statement
Because of the important role that parents and families play in their students’ lives, it is AHEPPP’s goal to help colleges and universities throughout the world constructively involve parents and families in the higher education experience and promote those interested in helping accomplish this mission.
Vision Statement
AHEPPP is dedicated to facilitating meaningful and lasting contact with college and university parent and family programs. By establishing the means to successfully communicate with parent and family programs, a national support network will be sustained, stimulating opportunities will be created, and the colleges and universities along with their students will flourish. AHEPPP will serve as the ever-important link between colleges, universities, and their parents.

2013 National Survey of College and University Parent Programs survey is now open. Please take a few minutes to complete this year’s survey and enter for a chance to win a one year subscription to AHEPPP. Your participation is critical in helping us all learn about the changing relationship between colleges and universities and the families of our students.
This longitudinal study is designed to track the changes and developments in parent/family services in higher education, and the results are frequently used by colleges and universities as they establish or reconfigure their events, programs, and activities for the families of their students.
We have an incentive to encourage your participation. Two free, one-year, institutional memberships in the Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals (AHEPPP) will be awarded. If you would like to be included in a drawing for one of the memberships, be sure to include your email address at the end of the survey. Your responses to all other questions will be confidential.
