Siblings Day Events

Siblings Day or "Sibs Day" is a great way to not only create another opportunity to connect with your families, but also to expose a younger generation to campus life. Georgia Tech Parent & Family Programs proudly hosted Sibs Day for a third year on February 11, 2017.  Georgia Tech students were encouraged to host brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends-you name it (ages 7-17) and give them taste of campus life–Yellow Jacket-style! NOTE: Parents and family members are welcome at all events, but must register as a participant as well.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed the following from 9am-9pm:

  • Campus tours focused on Georgia Tech traditions
  • Brunch in North Avenue Dining Hall
  • Educational Sessions
  • Dinner
  • Georgia Tech Men's Basketball game
  • Other fun activities

A $45 per person fee is charged to cover the costs of two meals (brunch and dinner), various campus activities, including entrance into the Men’s Basketball game against Boston College, a souvenir t-shirt and sling bag.  A limited number tickets are available for $25 per person for parents to join their children for dinner and the basketball game.

What are parents saying about Sibs Day at Georgia Tech?

“[Our kids] had so much fun and are very eager to do it again.
Normally, they don’t get one on one time with their [GT student] sibling without mom around, so it was a nice change.”

“GT is all [my son] can talk about. He loved hanging out with "real" students and being on a college campus.
He really wants to be a Yellow Jacket!”
